I know many players buy runescape gold for cheap; it’s the simple truth or else these companies wouldn’t be in business. Let’s briefly compare and contrast buying gold vs buying a gold guide.
5. Against the Rules
Let’s get the obvious one out of the way first, buying gold is against rules of runescape and from what I understand is the only rule jagex enforces tightly. Meaning if your caught buying gold then you’ll be smashed with the permanent ban-hammer and not just a warning. Buying a gold guide is completely in accordance to the rules because we aren’t selling in-game items. You’ll just be learning killer strategies that make you tons of gold as a result.
4. Fast
Buying gold is a relatively fast process (assuming they don’t mess your order up or scam you) from what I understand. I think of it more like a druggy getting his fix than anything. While gold guides on the other hand take some time to make gold. But I mean seriously, at 2M per hour it shouldn’t take that long to catch up!
3. Unrepeatable
Buying gold is a one time thing, unless you make a habit of purchasing every week, in which case you’re probably more likely to get banned and lose all your money! The methods in the gold guide are designed to be done over and over. They only stop working when to many players figure it out, which is why you should make sure free updates are provided.
2. Sketching companies with your credit card info
Forget the annoying factor of dealing with these companies trying to get your purchase. Remember these companies make a living off of illegally trading game currency, how well do you think they handle your credit card info? I can’t speak for all gold guide sellers, but most of us either use paypal or clickbank. Both are 3rd party reputable companies that handle the transaction. In fact, I never even see your name, credit card, etc. All I see is money in my account.
1. Social Stigma
Let’s say you buy like 250 million gold from a seller. You’re friends are all very impressed at first, and all beg you to reveal your strategies. One day you let it slip that you bought the gold and all your friends lose respect for you. You didn’t earn in, you don’t have a killer strategy. Conversely with a gold guide, you’ll always be ahead of the crowd, with your friends begging you to tell them how you made all that gold.
0. Expensive
If you’re just buying 1m gold, then this really doesn’t apply. But for those who habitually buy it, the price tag is horrible. Think about it, you buy all this gold, go pking in the wilderness and die. You’ll then have to pay all that money again for more gold! Whereas if you have a gold guide, you need not worry about dying or anything because you know you can just make it up in an hour or two. It just costs you time.
Conclusion:
Obviously as I gold guide creator, I’m completely bias. However, my arguments objective, so I expect you to make up your own dang mind. In my estimation, gold buying is a quick fix, where as gold guides are a long term strategy meant to last you a long while.
